Hello Everyone,

I have problems with my HP Elitepad 900. Yesterday, i tried to enter the bios mode to install windows from usb. After the installation complete, the startup menu always show up several seconds after booting. It's very annoying for me. I have tried to factory reset the notebook but it didn'd change.

UPDATED: If i removed the keyboard case it will boot directly to windows pass the startup menu. Why it happen while i use it ith the keyboard case?

Hello,

I just wanted to say that I am having the same problem, and will post if I find a solution.

Hower, I suspect something that you have already mentioned: The external keyboard.  You called it the "Keyboard case", but am I right that you mean an external USB keyboard?  That when that is plugged in, the "Start Menu" comes up, but when there's no keyboard, then it boots to Windows fine?

I have a sinking feeling that this is the problem with my system as well.

This could be happening because your external keyboard is not being read properly by the BIOS at startup.  It may think you are holding down the Esc key, even though you are not.  Just a theory, as of now.
