Stiff power button

The battery on my hp laptop is spoilt so I plug in a charger to use it. For  about a week I haven’t used the  laptop and when I plug it in the power button has become stiff and I can’t seem to press it .

the lights come on when I plug it in buh the stiff power button makes it impossible for me to turn it on

 May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
