Stuck in a bootloop.

The notebook is stuck in a bootloop, and i am unable to press escape to access any system recovery or boot options. Due to the nature of the notebook, none of the internal components are removeable. It just happened when i started my laptop for the first time today. I did a complete format and windows 10 reinstall three days ago so i dont see what the problem could be. The only thing i have used it for is to play some games on steam. If anyone could offer an idea i would be grateful.

You said you did a complete reformat and reinstall of Windows.  What problem were you trying to fix by doing this?  If the PC was running slow, you wasted your time as that is nearly always a hardware issue and forcing a Windows reinstall only tends to make that worse.

Plus, when you did the reinstall, you set Windows back weeks, if not months.  So after that, the first time you reboot the PC, it will automatically launch Windows Update -- which will then take over the PC, running for HOURS, searching for, downloading, and installing updates -- all the time, locking up the PC and rendering it all but useless.

Unfortunately, this message nearly always means that a recent Windows Update failed and Microsoft then tried to recover from that, but that failed, so it's trying over and over again -- and will never succeed because Windows Update got corrupted in the process. Unfortunately, this is NOT a new issue with Win10 Windows Updates.

This problem is very difficult, if not impossible to fix -- from the standpoint of making repairs and leaving your stuff intact. Some steps for trying this are listed below, but they are very hard to do and if they do not work, you are faced with doing a complete Windows reinstallation to get your PC back working again.

If these work, when you finally reboot, you should then be able to login to a working Windows desktop.

If these don't work, then report that back here as we will then have to provide you information on reinstalling Windows.

I had initially done a windows reinstall for the same reason, the bootloop, and it was the only option that i could think of at the time. I had only done a reinstall from the ssd, not from the cloud, so it didnt take forever to reinstall it. Then a few days later while i was playing a game it had shut down and started doing the bootlooping again. At this point i dont know what to do because none of the force reset options work and i cant even remove the battery. I cant access the bios, so even if i were to get a Windows 10 USB i wouldnt be able to boot from it.

Using the HP Cloud Recovery you do not actually do the reset from the cloud; instead, you download files from the cloud to build recovery media locally using a 32GB USB stick.

Crashing during gaming is nearly always a heat issue and unfortunately, there is nothing much you can do about that if your laptop is not an actual gaming PC.

It could also be a drive issue, so let's check that first, because if it is failing, it would need to be replaced and there is no point then in doing anything else until we confirm that.

If your PC is new enough to support UEFI, you can use these steps to test the hard drive: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00439024

If not, to check the drive you have to follow these steps:
1) Press Esc key repeatedly, several times a second, while rebooting the laptop. Do NOT hold the key down, just press it over and over.
2) Eventually, you will see an HP Startup Menu
3) Press the Function key for testing the hard drive (usually F2) and let it run.
If the drive checks out OK, then report that and I can provide you options for reinstalling Windows on your PC.
