Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Stuck in “preparing AutomaticRepair”. Tried hard reset removed batttery for 30 min, tried power up when HP & dots start hold power button 5-10 seconds, did this 3 times. Still stuck. Hit power button & esc multiple times til I got startup menu ? Did system check, all passed but hard drive short DST. Got error message:

ID: 9LQ1XW-8B6AAX-GXGK6K-60RG03

assuming new hard drive needed for my 4yr old HP notebook

any help is appreciated

I think you have it diagnosed correctly.  New hard drive needed.

The spec page for that model indicates a standard SATA 2.5" drive, 1TB

Page 43 of this manual indicates the replacement procedure
