My junior high students are going around to others' Chromebooks and pressing the refresh button and the power button simultaneously which is making the cursor (mouse) disappear

In guess that what you're asking is how to get the cursor back, right?

 

What I read is that if you use a pin and insert it into the hole in the middle of the back of the case, that will force a RESET of the Chromebook, and when it comes back, the cursor will be back.
