I recently installed Windows 11 and I’m now having problems with a system update failing to install. The two events may or may not be connected!

 

Basically, when I went to login this morning I was told there was a pending system update so I tried to install it and now it’s stuck in a loop. It keeps flashing up the words ‘Please wait while we install a system update’ for half a second then the screen goes blank and it starts again. I can’t see any way of getting out of this loop. Restarting the laptop doesn’t make any difference.

Sorry about this. I just tried CTRL ALT DELETE and it did the trick!
