Hi, I’ve been having a serious issue with my HP DA0011LA notebook. I recently tried to play Valorant, which requires TPM 2.0 due to its anti-cheat system. When I tried to launch the game, I got an error saying TPM is not enabled. But I know my device has TPM 2.0 because I’ve been using Windows 11 since its release, and Windows 11 requires TPM to be installed and enabled.
So, I went into the BIOS to check the TPM settings. However, I couldn’t find any TPM or PTT (Platform Trust Technology) option there. What’s even stranger is that I noticed my BIOS shows a generic model number now, not the original model information it used to show. Some other system identifiers are also showing default or incorrect values.
Also, every time I go into BIOS to enable virtualization or special key functions, my laptop restarts unexpectedly (since I don’t have a battery), and I get a CMOS 504 error. This has been happening for a while, but everything else seemed to work fine until now.
Now I can’t find or enable TPM, which means I can’t run Valorant or reinstall Windows 11, as it requires TPM 2.0. I didn’t change anything in BIOS myself, so I don’t know what happened or why this occurred. I would really appreciate any help from the community or HP staff to fix this issue.
Thank you.

Your machine uses software TPM, you have to enable it in BIOS. One example

Thanks for your reply. Just to clarify — my issue is not how to enable TPM. The TPM option has completely disappeared from the BIOS, and important information like model number and serial number is also missing or incorrect. I already tried using HP BCU to re-enable TPM but it didn’t work. I think the BIOS or DMI data might be corrupted. Any advanced fix available like flashing BIOS or restoring system board info?
