Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Laptop Freezes and Battery Issues! 

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.  

  

If your HP Notebook model 15s-du0120tu is freezing, not unlocking, or experiencing reduced battery performance, here are several solutions to address these issues:

Perform a Hard Reset

A hard reset can clear temporary memory and restart your system fully:

  1. Turn off the computer.
  2. Disconnect the AC adapter.
  3. Remove any discs from the disc drive.
  4. Remove memory cards from the card reader slot.
  5. Disconnect all nonessential peripheral devices, such as printers, scanners, external hard drives, and USB flash drives. Note: Do not disconnect your mouse, keyboard, or monitor.
  6. With the AC adapter unplugged, press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds.
  7. Reconnect the AC adapter, and then turn on the computer.

Close Any Applications Causing the Issue

Ensure that no applications are causing your computer to freeze:

  1. Disconnect all devices from the computer, except for the keyboard, mouse, and monitor, if applicable.
  2. Press the ctrl + shift + esc keys to open Task Manager.
  3. Click More details to expand Task Manager, if necessary.
  4. Under Processes, look for applications that have stopped responding. Select an application that is not responding and click End Task.
  5. Continue ending applications until all unresponsive applications are removed from the list.

Restart the Computer

  1. Press and hold the Power button until the computer turns off.
  2. Wait a few seconds, and then press the power button to turn the computer back on.
