I am trying to get into an old HP Mini 110, and the previous owner doesn't remember what the previous password on the machine is. Trying to guess the password results in a fatal error after 3 tries with a message of CNU94876PG, and the F9-F11 function keys do not allow me to access the BIOS or startup menus upon power upm is there a way to bypass the password lock to get into this machine?

----- Login Passwords -----
These are used to gain access to Windows -- and appear with a Login screen and wallpaper background after the PC has finished loading Windows.
We are not permitted to help you resetting your password because we have no way to verify ownership of the computer.
Therefore, to get help resetting these passwords, you have to Contact HP support in your region using the following link:
https://www.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
You can also take your PC to a local PC repair shop and they might be able to get you access -- but you will have to pay them for this service.

This does not appear to be a user password, as it does not show user accounts, the windows wallpaper, or any power control options either. It looks to be a BIOS screen that only prompts for a password, locks after 3 tries with the mentioned fatal error, and CTRL ALT DEL only resets the number of password attempts.

This sounds like a BIOS or power-on password -- which is worse.
----- BIOS (and Power-On) Passwords -----
The password is encoded into the firmware on the motherboard and we have no access of any kind to that.
There is no MASTER BIOS password that works on all PCs or even on all HP PCs. That is an "urban legend" that is simply untrue. If there were such passwords, they would have been posted on the Internet and there would be no value in setting BIOS passwords.
Removing or replacing the BIOS chip does not reset the password, nor does removing the CMOS battery, nor does shorting out the CMOS battery leads.
HP policy is NOT to reset BIOS passwords on existing motherboards -- so changing such a password requires completely replacing the motherboard with a new one that does NOT have a password encoded into the firmware -- and that usually costs a LOT more than simply replacing the computer.

Do you know what the users were doing on these posts?:
It looks as if there are "e9lo..." Machine specific passwords that bypass the lock and allow you to disable the passwords to get into the system
