Hey, so I got my laptop for Christmas 2021. Worked lovely, set up was perfect everything working fine. A few days after no using it and the battery going flat, me assuming it needs charging so I put it on charge, it wouldn't come on and then again with light white it still wasn't coming on. So I took out the charger and pressed the 'on' button, still nothing. This happens when I've not used the laptop for a while and I've got to press multiple buttons in order for the laptop to turn on for example : cntrl, alt, delete. It works once this had been pressed... just a bit concerned as this laptop is brand new.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Uncheck the Turn on fast startup (recommended) option, Go to System and Security and then click on Power Options. In the left pane, click on Choose what the power buttons does. Next, click the Change settings that are currently unavailable link. Under the Shutdown settings section. Also check for Bios version and then update the latest version of Bios from HP.COM or run all HPSA (HP Support Assistant)  updates. This should fix it.

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution and Kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Have a great day!
