Envy 17
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I'm attemting to install Windows 10 OS onto my HP Envy 17 Notebook, and it was able to read the USB flash drive just fine and go through the Windows install just fine.  But then when I restarted the computer after removing the flash drive it then came up with an error saying 'No bootable device'.   I then restarted and went into Boot Option Menu, and it's only showing Internal CD/DVD ROM Drive.

I then pressed F10, scrolled over to System Configuration, selected Boot Options, and when i got in there, it was only showing POST Hotkey Delay (sec) <0>

HP QuickWeb <Disabled>

CD-ROM Boot <Enabled>

Floppy Boot <Disabled>

Internal Network Adaptor Boot <Disabled>

There is absolutely no sign of UEFI Mode or Legacy Mode showing at all, not even Secure Mode in the menu.

I then went into Boot Order, and Moved Notebook Hard Drive to the top, and it still gives me the 'No bootable device' error message.

Hi

For me it is ESC and F9 to boot from a device.

WAS/IS the hard disk setup as Secure Boot and GPT?

Hey everyone so it was a little (well big mistake on my part), turns out I had the drive in the wrong bay, for when I was given this laptop I assumed it still had a HD already installed in it, but it turns out it didn't.  So I switched the HD that I've already installed in it over to the primary drive bay, turned it on, it started to load to the new Windows 10 and not the install.

I notice this problem when I went into the BIOS and initiated the Primary Hard Drive test, that was when it told me that it wasn't detecting anything at all.

Prego.

Solved then?
