HP Laptop PC 15-dw3000 (1A3Y0AV)

I wanted to do a complete wipe of my laptop because a hacker accessed it. I think I deleted the wrong partition because now when I try to set the boot order via F9 Boot Menu, USB flash is not listed.  The only options are: OS Boot Manager (UEFI) and Boot from EFI File.

Disk Management shows Disk 0 partition 1 and Windows C:.  I want to book from the USB so I can finish deleting all partitions and then install a clean copy of Windows 11 Home.

The laptop still boots into regular Windows 11, but since my machine was hacked, I need to do a full wipe and start over. I appreciate any assistance.

Hi:

If you can still get into W11, make a bootable USB recovery drive with the HP cloud recovery tool and a 32 GB USB flash drive.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility...

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Customer Support

You can download the cloud recovery tool software from the Microsoft Store.

HP Cloud Recovery Tool - Microsoft Apps

This will completely delete all partitions and format the drive.

Thanks for the info, but the problem is I cannot boot from USB. The only options are: OS Boot Manager (UEFI) and Boot from EFI File.  How do I reset the items listed for boot order on the boot menu, so USB is listed again?

You're very welcome.

Go into the BIOS Esc>F10.

There should be setting to disable Secure Boot.

Disable Secure Boot, save the setting and then see if the USB flash drive now shows up in the F9 boot options menu.
