I am unable to install windows 7 in HP 15-BE012TU Laptop (bios).
It give this error: "A required CD / DVD drive device is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please inser it now."
What I am doing:
1. Installing windows 7 using USB
2. Tried in all three USB, did not work. Same error message
3. Lagacy Support - Enabled, and Secure Boot - Disabled
4. Can not find option: USB3.0 configuration in Pre-OS under System Configuration tab is setup menu (f10).
Please help.

Hi,
To install from pendrive you are going to need to create windows 7 drive with usb 3.0 drivers on the drive. Intel has a tool to create such a drive from windows 7
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/en/download/25476/Windows-7-USB-3-0-Creator-Utility
how to use:

Hope it helps,
David

Very simple solution is there
the problem is win7 doesnt have usb 3.0/3.1 drivers. but it do have dvd drive's driver
install windows win 10 first ( or you can remove your hard drive and do below stuff with a sata to usb cable )
if you dont want to create partion create a device driver dvd
Create a partion t end of the drive that mean it should be at your end of ssd/hdd
copy all drivers to that - because you wont have usb ports and internet connectivity ( you have to install drivers )
now create a windows 7 DVD disk not usb
install using it dont delete partion eariler you have created
after installing windows 7 you wont have any usb ports or internet connectivity install drivers from
earlier created partion or created dvd - then all devices including usb ports will be working
thats all
but i things when using the win 7 laptttop gets heat . and battery remaing time also gets reduicng
so i have rolled back to win 10
if you want you can try
