I have HP pavilion dv6 notebook in which I have upgraded SSD using caddy option and cloned the os to SSD.but when I'm trying to change boot drive in bios it's showing that 2 options 1.) notebook hard drive 2.)notebook hard drive and after choosing any option I am unable to change my boot drive permanently.plss help me

Did you put new SSD on the CD/DVD slot ? That is NOT going to work.

 

  • Remove the old HDD,
  • Put new cloned SSD on the old HDD slot

You can clean the old HDD and put it to the CD/DVD slot for storage
