Hello everyone, I'm sorry in advance if there are mistakes because I'm translating my text (I don't speak English).
I wanted to install another operating system on my laptop and I noticed that it was impossible to boot on the USB stick since the computer always boots on the ssd (with Windows).
I then looked for the secure boot option thinking that this would solve the problem however I never found this option in the bios.
If anyone has a solution or an explanation, I'm interested.
Thanks in advance!
Soren

Hi, Soren:
Your notebook is too old to support Secure Boot and does not have any such BIOS setting.
Only notebooks that came with W8 or newer from the factory have a secure boot option.
To boot from a USB flash drive, what should work for your notebook is to have the flash drive in a USB 2 port.
It may not boot from a USB 3 port in the older model notebooks.
Turn on or restart the PC.
Immediately press/tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.
Select the F9 boot options menu, and from that, select the USB flash drive and press the Enter key.
The PC should boot from the flash drive.
