i was trying to update my laptop but encountered the error message:- A driver cannot load on this device.
This was the update I downloaded from HP
HP Consumer Notebook PC BIOS Update 88EB88EC88ED88EE8934 - sp142549
Anyone face the same issue as me?

I hope someone from HP sees this
This is due to Microsoft blocking amifldrv64.sys in latest windows 11 November 2022 update as a vulnerable driver. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/windows-defender-application-co...
All hp bios updates from this windows version will fail until HP updates their bios packages with a new driver.
In the meantime, if you have an older windows pc lying around, you can use it to create a bootable usb with the bios and use it to flash the bios on this one.
Or you can temporarily disable driver block list, update the bios and re enable it following this tutorial. https://www.elevenforum.com/t/enable-or-disable-microsoft-vulnerable-driver-blocklist-in-windows-11....
