For the third time since a few days ago, my laptop just randomly shut down. Thankfully I wasn't working in any of those three times, but anything that I had open and didn't save was lost. All three of these shut-downs happened without a single warning and not even the usual windows screen saying "shutting down" appeared. The screen just went from completely normal to black in a second, and when i pressed the button to turn it back on it turned on just like a normal turn-on after a normal shut down. Please help me figure out what this is (causes, consequences) and especially how to fix it. I am starting to think that it really could be caused by a virus, but I ran tests with McAfee and none were detected. I also thought it could be because of overheating, but the laptop has already been much hotter than it was in these sudden shut-downs, and nothing at all happened then. I've had this pc for slightly more than 2 years and really can't afford a replacement. Please help me with this issue. Thanks.

Hello @notnotme
Sorry to hear that you are having problems ...
In your case: Service is required !
- The computer should be disassembled and checked.
- Thermal paste for CPU GPU and bridges should be renewed
- The function of the fan(s) must be checked
- Short circuit test
- General cleaning ...
If you can't do that, you should have it serviced by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.
Please report your results
best regards
