Hp pavilion g6 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello Ive had my g6 notebook since 2013. Everytime I boot up my computer it shows the windows logo and the loading circle but then I am greeted with the stop code: "UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME" Ive tried waiting for automatic recovery but its stayed as a black screen for hours, ive tried booting from usb with Windows Media creation tool but its still a blackscreen no matter how long i wait, booting in unsecure mode, booted in Legacy mode and I still get the same result. Is my computer finally done for or is there a method I haven't tried yet?

Welcome to HP Support Community

I suggest you run a System Test to confirm the Hardware Functionality

- Shut down the Notebook completely
- Turn it back on, then tap the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup menu screen is displayed.
- Press F2 to select System Diagnostics.
- Click System Tests,

Keep me posted

Thank you for responding I really apprecaite it. I did the Hard disk test and the Hard Disk SMART check has failed.

Its failure ID is RLV820-6JD9JE-MFPX0K-60DB03 I did a quick search and meant my hard disk is failing.
