Hello,
On my HP 240 G7 laptop I have a black screen at startup. The Cap's lock button blinks twice.
On the HP website, I created a BIOS update USB key with the file sp156065.exe.
When I start the computer with the USB key inserted and the “windows +B” combination, the screen lights up after a few minutes with an “HP BIOS Update Initializing” window. The computer then runs in a loop, alternating between displaying this window and black screens. I left it running overnight and the situation is still the same.
