I want to update the CPU in a Pavalion G6. The info from the laptop is:

HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC
Product number D1Q40EA#ABE
Windows 10 Home 64 bits
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2370M CPU @ 2.40GHz
 
I was looking at a Intel Core i7-3632QM @ 2.20GHz. Will it work with my motherboard?

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook:

Chapter 1 has the list of supported processors.

 

According to the manual the Intel Core i7-3632QM is supported.

 

One of the 45W 3rd gen quad core processors would not be supported.
