@NG257, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your HP laptop. Let's try to resolve these issues step by step.

Windows 11 Update Failure

Here are a few steps you can try to fix the Windows 11 update failure:

Reset Windows Update Components:

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Run the following commands one by one:

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

net start msiserver

  • Restart your computer and try updating again.

Repair System Files:

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Run the following commands:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

SFC /Scannow

  • Restart your computer after the scans complete.

Perform an In-Place Upgrade:

  • Download the Windows 11 installation media from the Microsoft website.
  • Run the setup file and choose the option to upgrade while keeping your files and applications.

BIOS Update Not Found

If you're unable to find a BIOS update, you can manually update the BIOS using a USB drive:

Download the BIOS Update:

  • Go to the HP Support website and enter your laptop's model number.
  • Download the latest BIOS update file for your model.

Create a Bootable USB Drive:

  • Use a working computer to create a bootable USB drive with the BIOS update file.
  • Follow the instructions provided in this HP support video for detailed steps.

Update the BIOS:

  • Connect the USB drive to your HP laptop.
  • Restart the laptop and enter the BIOS/UEFI menu (usually by pressing F10, F2, or Esc during startup).
  • Select the option to update the BIOS from the USB drive and follow the on-screen instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
