My computer has failed to properly install updates for the last month or so. Updates are critical in maintaining the computer, but each time my computer has failed to install or reboot. The last time the repair function failed to work. Luckily, I was able to return to the previous version. How do I get the updates to install? I ran system diagnostics and everything is working properly. So why the problems? Unable to get an actual human being from HP or Microsoft to respond!

Hi,
Do you have enough free space on the machine?
Try completly updating the notebook. You can do it here on Microsoft site by clicking on update now.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Then once updated to latest version go into settings and update Windows
Hope it helps,
David

I attempted to install the latest version of Windows. After checking Update History, I learned that it's the new version that has tried and failed multiple times to install. It reaches 100% BUT then the computer fails to properly reboot and eventually leads to a darkened screen, forcing me to crash the computer to shut down. Auto system repair was unable to fix the issue. I am very hesitant to try again for fear of destroying a computer that is otherwise working perfectly.
