Pretty much what the title says. I plugged in a USB fan to my laptop. When I turned on the fan, the whole computer shut down. I unplugged the fan and the computer has been unresponsive since. The only light that works is the charging port, no fans, no lights, completely dead. I think I shorted it, but I have no idea how to proceed. Please help.

Thank you for responding .@Irwin6,
I tried the steps and can't go past step 2 because my laptop will not turn on, even if I hold down the power button. Again, no lights no fans, no response to the power button. The computer is fully charged. Is there any other way to try and turn it on?
