HP ENVY 14 TS Sleekbook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When Power On, windows attempt to start and crashed with blue screen with the stop code VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL. If I force shutdown by pressing the power button long time. Then again press the power button allow the laptop to boot the second time without issue. This is a persistent issue. Annoying and taking way too long time to boot.  I try to uninstall NVIDIA and video drivers and trying to install. But not succeed.

HP Site only listing the suporting windows version as 8.1 and not 10. Therefore I couldnt get the official windows 10 driver for this.

Can you please guide me how to identify the offending software or driver and uninstall and install again to avoide this one.

I went through several forums and but none of the solution doesnt work for me.

@Thayalan,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I recommend you update the BIOS and the chipset driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

If you continue facing the issue, I recommend you install all the Windows updates and check if it helps.

Here is how it is done.

  1. Open the Settings menu and go to Update & security > Windows Update.
  2. Click Check for updates to prompt your PC to scan for the latest updates. The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.
  3. Click Restart Now to restart your PC and complete the installation process.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

I've done both (Upgrade Bios and Windows update) previously. It doesn't seem to resolve the problem. On top the drivers for windows 10 OS not available for my model is the biggest problem for me.

Miraculously change the power setting from Balanced to High Performance sort the problem. But, still puzzled whats so special about power setting.

This issue again comes up and I found out this is due to NVIDIA drivers causing trouble during the boot up. Disable from NVIDIA from Device Manager seems to be working. However how can I fix this without completely blocked so that I can use for Games

@Thayalan,

I recommend you download and install the latest graphics driver available for your computer from Nvidia website and check if it helps.
