So I just was using it yesterday just fine , and today morning it doesn’t seem to turn on. It doesnt react when I click neither the power button nor any other button. I find it interesting that I still can plug in my phone in USB port and it will charge just fine, so I would assume that battery is fine. However , when I plug keyboard it just blinks(RGB keyboard ) for a millisecond and then goes dark again. I tried holding the power button for a while but it has no effect. Please, give any advice what I should do.

Hi @VladyslavLala,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It's frustrating when your laptop suddenly won't turn on. Here are some steps you can try to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue with your HP Victus 15.
Initial Checks
Power Source and Connections:
- Ensure that the power adapter is properly connected to both the laptop and the power outlet.
- Try using a different power outlet.
- Check the power adapter and cable for any visible damage.
Battery Check:
- Disconnect the power adapter and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds to perform a hard reset.
- Reconnect the power adapter and try to turn on the laptop again.
Advanced Troubleshooting
Disconnect Peripherals:
- Unplug all external devices (USB drives, external monitors, etc.) and try to turn on the laptop.
Reset Hardware:
- Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if it's removable).
- Hold the power button for 30 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then try to turn on the laptop.
Check for Display Issues:
- Try connecting your laptop to an external monitor to see if the issue is with the display rather than the laptop itself.

BIOS Reset:
- Disconnect the power adapter.
- Press and hold the Windows + B keys simultaneously, then press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds.
- Release the power button while continuing to hold the Windows + B keys until you hear beeping sounds or see a BIOS recovery screen.
Inspect for Indicator Lights:
- Look for any indicator lights (such as the power button light, keyboard backlight, or charging LED). These can give clues about the laptop's status.
Backup Plan
- Data Backup:
- If your laptop contains important data, consider removing the hard drive or SSD and using an external enclosure to connect it to another computer for data backup.
These steps cover the most common troubleshooting methods for a laptop that won't turn on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
