So last night, I remembered that I shut down by computer before going to bed. However this morning, I found my laptop power button on. I tried tapping on the mouse and keyboard to try and wake the computer...No response from the computer. Then I forced shut down by holding down the power button. When I check the event viewer, I saw errors and warnings... Warning - Kernel-Processor-Power Error - DistributedCOM Should I be concern about this issue? Can someone explain what do both mean?

Try restoring the BIOS to default and check if it helps.

1.    Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
2.    Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
3.    On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
4.    Press F10 to Save and Exit.
5.    Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
6.    Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

Also,try the steps recommended below.

Press “Windows” + “R” keys to load the Run dialog box.
Type “control panel” and press Enter.
Change the View By (at the up right) to Small icons and then open Power Options.

Then click “Change plan settings” at the active (selected) plan.

Select the “Change advanced power settings” option.

When Power Options appear on your screen, make the following adjustments:

1. Set the Power Plan to High Performance.

2. Expand the Processor Power Management settings and change BOTH the Minimum and Maximum Processor State settings to 100%.

Click Apply (OK) and reboot your computer.

Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
Click Advanced system settings.
Click the Advanced tab.
In the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings.
Click to clear the Automatically restart check box.

Change your power settings

Kernel power 41 error can be caused by your power settings, so it might be best that you change some of those settings. To do that, follow these steps:

Press Windows Key + S, type Power Options and choose Power Options from the menu.
When Power Options window opens, find your current plan and click on Change plan settings.
Now click on Change advanced power settings.
Locate Hard disk section and expand it. Click on Turn off hard disk after and set it to Never. You can do that by entering 0 as a value.
Find the Sleep section and set the sleep timer to 0 in order to turn it off.
Click Apply and OK to save the changes.

Turn off Fast Startup

Open Power Options.
When Power Options window opens, click on Choose what the power button does.
Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
Scroll down to the Shutdown settings section.
Locate Turn on fast startup (recommended) and uncheck it.
Click Save changes.

Uninstall recent updates

Press Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
Select Update & security.
Click on View installed update history.
Choose to Uninstall updates.
Uninstall all recent updates and restart your PC.
