Water spilled on HP Intel Core i5 7th generation

Yesterday afternoon, I spilled around 3oz of water on my laptop keyboard; I immediately shut it off, and unscrewed seven out of the ten bolts on the bottom in a state of panic. Then I made the mistake of turning it back on a few hours later. By the end of the night, the battery charger light was still on, and when I woke up today, nothing came on, even after I used the hair dryer on low setting.

When I turned it on before I went to bed, the keyboard LED flashed for a split second, and every time the power button lit up, I heard squeaking going on inside; I'm worried that the laptop could be permanently damaged, and I'll have had this laptop for a year, as of August 2nd.

Can anybody help me out? My junior year of college starts on September 3rd, and I'm in the middle of an internship, which requires me to do three essays by the end of the summer; my mother told me to just let it dry for 2 days at least, but with the laptop not even responding today, I don't know what to do, because I can't afford to get it repaired right now, and the battery's locked inside, so I have no idea of the full extent of the damage.

However ... it's most likely that SOME damage was done, regardless of how quickly you turned off the laptop and what you did afterward.
 
The ONLY way to know for sure is to take or send it to an HP Service Center and pay a LOT of money for them to run full diagnostics on it, and after that, to disassemble it to repair or replace any damaged components.
 
And, if the motherboard is damaged, the cost of repair can easily exceed the cost of replacing the laptop -- because (as far as I know) water damage is NOT covered under the warranty.

My warranty expired a few months ago.

And about taking it to the HP Service Center: just how much will it cost to get the laptop diagnosed and repaired, on estimate?
