I have an external hard drive called WESTERN DIGITAL ELEMENTS 10TB WHICH is USB 3.0 AND USB 2.0 COMPATIBILITY. IT IS ABLED TO BOOT ON USB 2.0 BUT NOT ABLED TO BOOT ON 3.0. I BOUGHT 3 DIFFERENT CABLES AND IT GIVES ME THE SAME RESULTS. I CAME TO A CONCLUSION THAT I NEED A BIOS UPDATE, WHICH I CURRENTLY HAVE VERSION F36. THE BIOS ON THIS MODEL IS DEPLORABLE. IT SEEMS THE BOOT SECTION HAS AN ARROW STUCK ON THE WINDOWS BOOT MANAGER. WHY CAN'T THE ARROW BE MOVED TO THE SEQUENCE LOCATION A PERSON WANTS SUCH AS USB HARD DRIVE ( UEFI)? NEED HELP AS MY SYSTEM IS VERY SLOW DUE TO THIS ISSUE.

A forced BIOS update is NOT going to fix this -- and besides, you are using the latest BIOS version.
