Compaq Presario CQ61-313US

After some good research, I found that the reason my laptop won't boot is due to a BIOS error. According to http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07107 the blink codes mean my BIOS is saying "Legacy floppy drive or CD/DVD drive not detected". What should I do to fix this? Do I just restore my BIOS using the method the page says, or do I need to repair my CD/DVD Drive?

The document you are looking at is for desktop computers. Also the "Legacy floppy drive or CD/DVD drive not detected" occurs when attempting to flash the BIOS.

Hi,

That document you linked doesn't seem to include blink codes for laptops made before 2010. Mine was made in 2009.

Yes, I see blinks. I need a document with blink codes for LAPTOPS made in 2009. From there a can actually find out what the blin codes are telling me.
