Hello, the product I am using stopped working out of the blue. The laptop won't turn on and when I try, the f12 key has one long blink. I saw a post from a while ago with the same issue, but they said it was fixed, but when I went there, the question that fixed the issue was a link to a phone number. I don't like the sound of my voice, so I decided to try this: If someone knows how to fix this problem, could you please just message it under this question? I don't want to call someone for this.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- Did you make any changes to the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
Hard Reset: Follow the steps from the link: https://hp.care/2GnkMa8. (Refer to the removable and sealed battery)
BIOS default:(do not skip any troubleshooting steps even if you feel steps are repeating)
- Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
- Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
- On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
- Press F10 to Save and Exit.
- Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
- Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

I would like to thank you for your advice, kind sir.
First, I would like to answer your questions:
1. I have no clue whether an update happened or not, I noticed the issue when I woke up in the morning, so if it did, I was asleep.
2. I, also, don't know. I bought the Laptop from a pawn shop about a month ago, but when I received it, the laptop had several necessary settings admin locked. So, I decided to bring it back, and they said they can fix it. When I got it back, everything on it had been completely wiped, including all the main apps. That is the only change, that I know of, that has been done to it.
Next, what happened when I used your methods:
Hard reset: Absolutely nothing changed for what I noticed.
"BIOS default" : When I repeatedly pressed the F10 key, nothing popped up, but the f12 key did a fast blink, followed a couple seconds later by the long blink (I don't know if the long blink is related to the fast one).
I hope this reaches you, sir, and I hope you have a new idea.
Kind regards,
James

Thank you for posting back.
I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does Not Start: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01997899, No Power or no Boot and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
