Will not Start up

Hi 

Wondering if anyone can help with the following:

HP logo comes on and then the message - Preparing Automatic Repair

Next - Your computer ran into a problem -restarting . Stop code SYSTEM THREAD EXECPETION NOT HANDLED

What failed: iaStorA.sys

Then goes back to Auto repair. 

Then Your computer ran into etc.....  It will happily do this all day long.

I ran the HP Hardware Diagnostics all passed except the Battery - Not installed. 

There is a battery but the laptop has to be plug into the mains as it not working. It is a sealed battery. This happened at the same time as the start up problem. 

Can anyone help?
