HP Notebook - 14-an012nr (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I reset my Windows 10 laptop and whilst it was resetting my battery ran out which caused my laptop to turn off when 64 percent of the installation was complete. When I connected my charger the installation has been stuck at 64 percent and keeps on restarting. I am able to go to bios and system recovery, but please note I cannot access command prompt, system repair, or reset my computer as it says that I have no administrator and thus cannot do that. I tried doing the usb clean install on my sister’s computer but her computer has too much space on it and she doesn’t want to delete her files.

 P.S. I'm a complete novice

Hi:

Unless you can get access to another working windows PC, you won't be able to fix the problem.

Even to try and repair the installation, you would need to create a bootable W10 installer, and use the repair option.

Get another Windows PC, buy a 32 GB USB flash drive, and use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable recovery drive.

Here is an info link for how to use that utility...

P.S:  Never try to update the BIOS, or factory reset the PC unless it is plugged into A/C power.
