Hi @charly3122,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Note the Stop Code

  • Identify the Stop Code: When the Blue Screen appears, note down the error message and code. Common stop codes include DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, etc.

2. Restart Your Laptop

  • Restart Device: Simply restart your HP ENVY laptop to see if the issue resolves itself. Sometimes, a restart can clear temporary issues.

3. Boot into Safe Mode

  • Press Shift while clicking on Restart to access the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).
  • Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings and click Restart.
  • On the Startup Settings screen, press F4 to enter Safe Mode.

4. Update Drivers

  • Open Device Manager by pressing Win + X and selecting Device Manager.
  • Locate any device with a yellow exclamation mark, right-click, and update the driver.
  • Visit the HP Support Website to download and install the latest drivers for your HP ENVY laptop.

5. Roll Back Recent Updates

  • Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > View update history.
  • Click on Uninstall updates and remove any recently installed updates that might be causing the issue.

6. Run System File Checker

  • Open Command Prompt as Administrator by typing cmd in the search bar, right-clicking Command Prompt, and selecting Run as administrator.
  • Enter the command sfc /scannow and press Enter. Allow the System File Checker to scan and repair any corrupted files.

7. Check for Malware

  • Use Windows Defender or another reputable antivirus program to perform a full system scan and remove any detected malware.

8. Perform a Disk Check

  • Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  • Enter the command chkdsk /f /r and press Enter. Follow the prompts to schedule the check on the next restart.

9. Update Windows

  • Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and check for updates. Ensure your system is updated to the latest version.

I hope this helps.
