Hi @gaurav02,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your laptop is having trouble finding the boot device, and you’re encountering a "Boot Device Not Found" error (often shown as error code 3F0). This issue is common when there’s a problem with the SSD, boot configuration, or corrupted files. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check Hardware Connections

  • Power Off: Turn off your laptop and disconnect it from any power source.
  • Remove and Reinsert SSD: If you’re comfortable doing so, open the laptop’s back panel, locate the SSD, and ensure it’s properly connected. Re-seat the SSD if necessary.

2. Run Diagnostics

  • Built-in Diagnostics: Many laptops have built-in diagnostics that you can access during boot:
    1. Restart Your Laptop: As soon as you power it on, repeatedly press the diagnostic key (usually F2, F12, ESC, or F10 depending on the manufacturer).
    2. Run Diagnostics: Select the option to run a diagnostic test to check the health of your SSD and other hardware components.

3. Access BIOS/UEFI Settings:

  1. Restart Your Laptop: Press the appropriate key to enter BIOS/UEFI settings (usually F2, F10, ESC, or DEL).
  2. Check Boot Order: Ensure that your SSD is listed as the primary boot device. If it’s not listed, there may be a connection issue or the SSD may be failing.
  3. Save and Exit: Make any necessary changes, save, and exit BIOS/UEFI.

4. Repair Boot Files

Create a Windows Installation Media:

  1. Download Windows Media Creation Tool: Use another working computer to download the Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft’s website.
  2. Create Bootable USB: Follow the tool’s instructions to create a bootable USB drive.

Boot from Installation Media:

  1. Insert USB Drive: Plug the bootable USB drive into your laptop.
  2. Enter Boot Menu: Restart your laptop and enter the boot menu (usually F12, F10, ESC, or DEL).
  3. Select USB Drive: Choose the USB drive as the boot device.
  4. Select Language and Region: Choose your language and region settings, then click Next.
  5. Repair Your Computer: Click Repair your computer (not Install now).
  6. Troubleshoot: Choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair. This tool will attempt to fix issues preventing Windows from booting.

5. Check and Rebuild Boot Configuration:

  1. Access Command Prompt: From the Advanced options menu, select Command Prompt.:
    • Type the following commands one at a time and press Enter after each:

6. Check SSD Health

  • Check SSD Health: Use SSD diagnostic tools to check for health and performance issues. Some manufacturers offer dedicated tools (like Samsung Magician for Samsung SSDs).

7. Reset or Reinstall Windows

  1. Access Reset Option: From the Advanced options menu, select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.
  2. Choose an Option: Opt for Keep my files or Remove everything based on whether you want to preserve your data.

Reinstall Windows: If resetting does not work, you may need to perform a clean installation:

  1. Follow Installation Prompts: Use the bootable USB drive to install Windows by following the on-screen instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
