This computer is stuck after trying to update from driver firmware from

62.0.1.2.1 to 62.0.1.2.1? which is the same number

It's a HP Elitebook core i7 vPro.

I can't get more version details because it's stuck.

what can I do to unstick this computer?

It took about 45 minutes on the screenshot posted, but then the driver updates proceeded normally.

the computer is now up and running.

Have had same problem. Leavin laptop over night, 8 hours, and not completed. Eventually I power cycled and laptop came back up again. Until next update...

Have had the problem 4 or 5 times now.

Is there a solution to this?

Exact same issue on work-provided HP EliteBook 840 G7 Notebook.  It was attached to a Dell UltraSharp U2723QE docking station/monitor via USB-C at the time.  It was installing Windows 10 updates when shut down and completing them on boot.

I let it sit on the 100% screen for 1 hour, no change.

Held power button down for 10 seconds until it powered off, then powered back on.

It completed the BIOS update (step 2) and then powered cycled itself a few times and booted normally.

the stupid thing is that next time it happens, it installs the same version.

So, something is wrong with this update since the update  never understands that it is done and completed.
