HI MKazi,

i have the same problem with bios update of  HP Pavilion x360 - 14-ba018nl (2QD82EA#ABZ).

My system is 830F (F.32) version but bios update (F.41) is looking for 83C4.

Could you help me?

Thanks in advance.

Mark

Thanks for your answer.

I have some screenshot for You.

In this pic you can see bios update cannot running on this machine.

bios not installed.jpg

So i check version of bios and platform info in regedit (same version in Bios pressing F10 on boot):

Regedit Select.jpg

So with a winrar i am able to extract two files from SP88449.exe (bios update file)

Inside SP88449 Select.jpg

Extract "Bucks1.1"  and you can find a lot of files but specially platform  version "083C4.bin" and "Platform" we need.

Inside Buck Selected.jpg

Versions are different between this file  and my motherboard but if you open "platform" there is a "platform check" that report the combatibility (i think) with my system.

platform txt select.jpg

I tried also to upgrade bios from boot pressing F2 than firmware upgrade, no way.

Let me know if you need anothers info.

Thaks a lot for your help.

Mark

@Mark_ITA

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Forums.

Not to worry, I'll be glad to assist you with this case.

I understand that the BIOS update (version F.41 Rev.A sp88449.exe (17.0 MB)) is looking for 83C4 while attempted on your HP Pavilion x360 - 14-ba190nz

I have checked again and see that this is the correct BIOS update available.

However could you attempt to update the BIOS again and if it does not go through share a screen shot with us?

Please feel free to reply. I'll be glad to assist you further.

Cheers! 🙂
