Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

two months ago I've bought this laptop as a convience because of the two in one.

anyhow I have put a bios password and forgotten about it cos I recently did a hp recovery and a full windows 10 factory reset.

I have never put a post power on password, now it's asking me for it.

have communicate with hp people, they asking me to replace the mother at my expenses.

I remember back in the days all you have to do is download the manufacture bios and flash.

also now F9,F10,F11,F12 or other don't seem to work.

can anyone help...?

much appreciated, just don't want to spend nearly the same amount just to replace the mother board and still have 36 months of warranty. don't even know what's it use for. 😥😥😥

Sorry -- no -- times have changed. HP no longer distributes files or software you could have used to reset the BIOS password.  They now insist on replacing the system board -- which can be very expensive.

And there is nothing anyone from here can do because that is against community forum policy to assist in bypassing any security measures.

The BIOS password is encoded into the firmware on the BIOS chip on the system board, and you would have to replace that in order to remove the password, and you can't because it's soldered to the board.
