Hi @eppsberg,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Notebook 15 is experiencing a "no power" or "no boot" issue, indicated by the blank screen, no keyboard lights, and the F12 Wi-Fi orange light staying on. Since you've already tried the common troubleshooting steps (like pressing the Esc, F8, and F10 keys, removing the battery, and cycling power), here are a few additional things you can try.

Perform a Hard Reset

Since removing the battery didn't help, try performing a hard reset to drain any residual power:

  • Disconnect the laptop from the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
  • Press and hold the power button for 15-30 seconds.
  • Reconnect only the power adapter without the battery and attempt to turn the laptop on.
  • If it turns on, reconnect the battery afterward.

Check the RAM

  • If you have access to the RAM module (you can find it in a compartment at the bottom of the laptop), try reseating it. Remove the RAM carefully, wait a few seconds, and reinsert it properly. If there are two RAM sticks, try using one at a time to see if either one is faulty.

External Monitor Test

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor to see if it's a display issue. If the laptop displays correctly on the external monitor, it could be an issue with the laptop screen.

Check for Overheating or Fan Issues

  • Sometimes, if the cooling system fails, the laptop will not boot to prevent overheating. Listen for the fan noise or any signs of overheating. Clean any dust from the vents and ensure proper airflow.

BIOS Recovery

  • HP laptops support BIOS recovery that might help reset the system:
    • Turn off the laptop and press and hold the Windows key + B key while holding the power button for a few seconds.
    • Release the power button but keep holding Windows + B until the BIOS recovery screen shows up (if possible).

Power Adapter or Motherboard Issue

  • If none of the steps work, it could be an issue with the power adapter or motherboard. Try using a different, compatible adapter or checking for any LED lights that indicate a charging or power issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
