Product: HP ProBook 650 G4 Notebook PC

When I boot up my laptop, it loads on a black screen with the HP logo for about a minute, then takes me to a blue screen with the text "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info for you" along with the stop code "CRITICAL PROCESS DIED". After that it prepares Automatic Repair. I tried restarting it and power restarting it, but it just sends me back to the beginning. I just replaced the battery with a brand new and now the error code is not showing anymore , -how a  power state failure could be related to the battery ?
