I need to know how to reset my computer because it keeps saying the hard disk drive not being installed and boot device not found and please install an operating system on your hard disk. and i hear a very lil clicking sound where the hard disk is at under the key pad but everything turns on it jus doesnt allow me to do the hard disk quick check and extensive check and it tells me to make sure the power is plugged and it tells me the SMART hard disk check has detected an imminent failure. So with all tht said can i reset the computer? or factory set it? will it work and if so how?

Hi
Either the HDD has failed and needs replacing, most likely, or the Main Board has a problem.
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.
Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.
Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat; Re-Connect the AC adapter.
NOW begin checking/testing/proving the Hardware is fit for purpose.
Power on your PC, press ESC (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).
Post any 24 character error code please.
Replacement OS is here...

If in doubt please ask.
