On site replaced a systemboard in our 440 G5. The Feature Byte, Build ID, Serial Number, SKU Number, Product Family, SB CT Number and Product Name are entered correctly. On post, we get an error - System in Programming Mode. In the past I have used the SMC.BIN file to open and Lock BIOS for Branding. This is a replacement systemboard what was installed unlocked. I've access to CSN, but not sure how to resolve this. HP wants to send someone out, NO........

No fix, just a comment based on experience...
If you open a case with HP Technical Service.
and
If HP Technical Support sends a Technician to your office / home to fix an HP motherboard,
If the Tech burns the board,
HP will fix it.
If a random stranger (including any non-employee / Expert on this community) gives you advice and you burn the board, you are alone with a burned motherboard.
If the board is an HP motherboard (HP parts) and HP has agreed to fix the board,
If you don't want a Technician at your home / office,
Ask if you can send the unit to HP for repair.
I have done both - I have had an onsite tech come to my home office and I have sent in my business class machine for board work.
Good Luck.
