Hi everyone,
On occasion when I open my chromebook before signing in 2 or 3 reptile like eyes have been present on the background image! They disappear on signing in. Has anyone else experienced this and is it anything to be concerned about?
Thanks in advance,
Peter

You are welcome.
I had not completed the followup for you -- It appears (just looking at the first part in the posted response) that the problem is / was cosmetic - that is, irritating but not dangerous.

HP Internal took a look and concurs that the issue should be cleared up in the latest version (M63 at writing).
If no joy after updating:
Because you are still seeing the error, you might check with the Google Chrome OS forum and see what (if anything) you can find on the issue.
Search for something like "blurry login screen" or whatever else sounds useful.

I admit I did not expect to find anything about eyes looking out from the screen during login on a Chromebook.
Interestingly -- and I don't have any idea whether this is relevant to your situation -- I found the following that does mention something that looks like "dragon eyes" looking out from the login screen.
The article might be out-dated by now -- it is a "starting place"...

Thanks very much. The "dragon Eyes" shown are very similar to what I experienced. As I am fairly computer illiterate my main concern is whether or not the chromebook has been infected by a virus or malware and whether continued use of the device could leave me vunerable?
Thanks again.
