hi guys hope someone can help me out here i have a problem with my hp g56 notebbok, the problem is that on occasions the laptop fails to start and the caps lock blinks once every 3-4 seconds i have looked on the hp website for the blink codes and am informed that this code refers to a cpu failure, but this problem isn't constant on some occasions the laptopo will start so i was thinking if it was the cpu would it start atall, also on other occasions it starts to load but then freezes at the screen where there is a hp logo and the option to press esc to enter start up. any advice on what to do would be very grateful
thank you all

Hello, @mikemo70 – Hope you are well 🙂
Thanks for your continued participation on the HP Forums! I’d like to be of your assistance!
Going through your post, I see that you are getting a caps lock blinking code on your PC. Let’s run a hardware diagnostics to determine any hardware issue with the product.
Go to HP PCs - Testing for hardware failures and follow the steps listed to run a hardware test using the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
Make sure to run an Extensive system test. Let me know the results.
Thanks, I will watch for your reply!
Good luck 🙂

Hello, @mikemo70
Try to perform a hard reset on your notebook to try and fix the issue.
Follow the steps listed here: Hard or Force Reset a Removable Battery | HP Notebooks | HP Support (youtube.com)
If the issue persists, then the issue could be with the laptop hardware. I'd suggest you contact the HP phone support to get the PC service options.
HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.
(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.
(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.
(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
Hope that helps! Let me know!
Cheers 🙂
