Hi

I have been struggling with the error of "Smart hard disk check has detected an imminent failure" , so I press F2 and run the systems diagnostics after which  everything there Pass. However, when I continue it keeps sending me the same message.

I have windows OS downloaded on SSD drive apart from the hard drive available with the PC. One of the solutions were to enable the "Legacy option" in the Bios Boot Menu. I checked it and it wasn't shown to me from the first place, So I headed to HP support to install the latest BIOS driver for my laptop using my serial number, but it gave me the following message:

We were unable to find drivers for your product.
My PC is: HP Notebook - 15-da2005ne
It has Windows 10 OS (but I can't log into right now).
I really need to download the updated BIOS driver for my laptop to be able to fix this irritating problem.

Your help is truly appreciated.

Hi:

 

Some of the newer HP notebooks such as yours may not have such an option anymore.

 

Everything is UEFI now.

 

In any event, you can download the latest BIOS update from the base model 15-da2000 support page...

 

Looks like the latest one is F.38.
