Product: Pavilion dv 7
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have to take battery out and hold down on button 30 seconds 20 times to finally get it started.

the only light on is the power plug light.

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

Check with an alternate power adapter and if possible another battery.

 

Meanwhile:- 

Do a power reset

Here are the steps:- Click here

 

 

Run a battery test using F2 (during restart),
