Product: dv7-4080us
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

my hp dv7=4080us will not come on.. if I take the h/d out it will boot to bio's just fine but if I put the h/d in the charging light  for the charger comes on.  But when I push the start button the light goes out and does not come back on without first taking the battery out and putting it back in. I am at a loss for this. Please keep your answers in as simple of format as you can. Im 62 and not that good at computers. But  willing to give it a try.  Help

The expectation is that the HDD has had a catastrophic failure and needs replacing.

 

 

If in doubt please ask.
