Dear All,

I wanted to remove my existing password from BIOS, I entered under "old pass" my exisiting one, and left "new pass" and "repeat new pass"  blank. After I restarted the laptop, I have "enter administrator or power on password" screen and my old password doesn't work, also hitting just enter (leaving blank) doesn't help. After I try 3 times I get my Serial Number and it asks for HP Spare Key Recovery USBAfter 3 times entryAfter 3 times entryAfter BIOS reset with USBAfter BIOS reset with USB. I tried giving my serial number on https://bios-pw.org/ kind of websites but that did not help. I contacted HP, they say that I need a new motherboard???? For such a stupid problem replacing the whole motherboard seems overkill.

I tried WIN+b during power on, with BIOS in USB, I can reset BIOS but that does not help.

Tried removing battery for 20 mins.

Tried powering on without battery only with power cable.

Tried WIN+v during power on, for CMOS Reset (502).

None of them helped.

I could not see an RTC Battery either, after opened bottom cover.

What else can be tried?
