Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I' m struggling in finding a way to enable ahci mode from the bios in my new envy 15 2020. Is there an advanced bios menu?

Anyone can help me?

I can' t believe that such a fundamental option is missed in a 2k PC

Hi:

What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?

Use this guide to find that information...please do not post the serial number.

Drive controller settings in today's notebooks are usually not changeable.

If the PC has a SATA drive, it is set to AHCI or RAID by default, if it has an Intel processor.

AMD notebooks have the drive controller set to AHCI by default, but the controller is not recognized by some SSD programs as being set to AHCI, because the AMD SATA controller is not named as an AMD SATA AHCI controller.

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs page for your notebook.

https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06661168

Your notebook has two NVMe M.2 SSD's which do not use a SATA AHCI controller.

They use a NVMe storage controller, which should be listed under the Storage controllers device manager category.
