Microsoft Windows 11

The laptop is ~ 8y old.  Battery hasn't been working so used plugged in.  I turned laptop over to get Serial # to replace battery. And, then got this message when it was next turned on:

Boot Device not found

Please install an OS on your hard disk.

hard disk (3F0)

F2 systems diagnostics.

for more info .....

I DID NOT RUN F2 systems diagnostics.  Please Help.  Thanks.

Thank you. I ended up taking it to a pc wizard who helped revive the drive for now.  The battery was swollen (!) so I am using a loner HP with my HD in it.  And a new battery is on the way.  I will replace the laptop soon.  Any suggestions?  Currently using a 17" Envy.  It's not used for video/photo intense apps.  So, don't need anything high powered. Just reliable with good longterm maintenance profile.  Thanks!
