HP envy ts 17 notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

downloaded the bios update for the HP envy touchscreen 17 notebook from the HP drivers page.  after proceeding to run the update the computer restarted and i was then stuck on a black screen. the power light was illuminated as well as the f12 key. additionally the cap lock repeated a series of blinking white liight - 2 quick white flashes... brief pause, then repeats the flashing sequence.

i attempted various "fixes" from the HP site, including attempting a hard reset as well as power button + win loge + "B" key all without success

i hope that sufficiently address the needed info.

thanks

mark

Hi

HP support is offline, so my best effort is...

Try with a Flash Drive.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02693833

Turn off the notebook.
Plug the notebook into a power source using the power adapter.
With the notebook off, press and hold the Windows logo key and the B key at the same time (WinKey +B).

NB: On some notebook models, it might be necessary to press and hold the Windows logo key and the V key (WinKey +V).

While pressing those keys, press and hold the Power button on the computer for 2 to 3 seconds, and then release the Power button but continue to hold the Windows logo key and the B or V key until the HP BIOS update screen displays or you hear a beeping sound (usually 8 beeps).
